“It’s a disgrace, I want trying back I’d been a bit more kinder to myself and loved my career a little bit more.

“It’s hard, when you’re trying to achieve things, there’s always the next tournament and the next week. There’s always pressure to go out there and perform.”

Now that he is ready to look back on his tennis career with a sense of appreciation, Murray has shifted his focus to golf.

The former world No.1 is on a mission to turn into a scratch golfer and has already participated in a number of Pro-Am tournaments at Wentworth and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
