I thought I went at the line,” he informed Motorsport.com’s Matt Weaver. “The rule states you can pick up your pace to the box, and it’s very objective the way they have the rules. It’s not black and white like maybe NASCAR rules are.
“It’s an increase to the box. I fired right at the line. I don’t feel like you can make a call like that in a race like this. After watching the replay, I feel like it’s not a call that they can make at this point.”
