President Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Eric Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit towards the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Treasury Department Thursday, blaming the federal companies for leaks of their confidential tax data.

The Trump Organization, the primary household’s business, can also be listed as a plaintiff within the lawsuit filed in a Miami federal courtroom.

“Defendants have caused Plaintiffs reputational and financial harm, public embarrassment, unfairly tarnished their business reputations, portrayed them in a false light, and negatively affected President Trump, and the other Plaintiffs’ public standing,” the criticism states.

The lawsuit comes a yr after former IRS contractor Charles “Chaz” Littlejohn was convicted of leaking Trump’s tax returns – together with the filings of different rich people –  to the New York Times and ProPublica.

Littlejohn, 40, pleaded guilty in October 2023 to at least one rely of disclosure of tax return data and is serving a five-year jail sentence.

This is a developing story. Check back for more data.
