Sunday’s Grammyites flashed no matter they may unzip. Lady Gaga as soon as confirmed as an egg. Years in the past, Annie Lennox schlepped in as Minnie Mouse. Nobody missed a beat or a boob.
The biggie? Bad Bunny. That’s his identify. Only wheelchairs are re-thinking perhaps Bing Crosby, Mel Tormé, Frank Sinatra. The world’s gotten youthful, freakier, dustier. Don’t look to affix in and hum one thing. Just put in your warped previous dusty spherical 78 disc and don’t trouble everybody.
Was it overdone? Overdressed? Please. Even crotches were bedazzled.

Our president’s not affected person. Like him or don’t like him, scream at him or adore him. Seventy years I’ve been with him when he’s up — and manner the hell down when solely a few of us even knew it at the time. Like him or don’t like him, however smarter or more durable there isn’t. Political hysteria falls into Donald’s “action” class. Maybe he permits adversaries into the land of uncertainty, weakens the Ukrainian, reduce his affect, believes Zelensky unlikely to help a stop fire brokered by him and Putin. But let’s simply assume he’s working down the Ukrainian. The Statue of Liberty’s nonetheless there watching over Donald Trump.

Ringo? That’s “apple” in Japanese.
Salma Hayek. Salma means “corpse” in Italian.
Woody Allen. Once made a film calling himself “zelig,” which implies “blessed” in Hebrew.
Sissy Spacek: “My family’s Moravian where our name means ‘starling.’ ”
Calista Flockhart named for her great grandma says it means “most beautiful” in Greek.
