A man has expressed his frustration after he was reportedly requested to change airplane seats so a youngster may benefit from the window view.

He detailed his journey back from Brazil, the place he had been visiting household, and how he had deliberately pre-booked his seat for the prolonged flight.

His choice was a window seat, permitting him to absorb the sights whereas listening to music as time handed. However, upon reaching his seat, a fellow passenger made an audacious request.

Sharing his expertise on Reddit, he stated: “On the way back, this stranger who was seated on the middle plane seats across from me with his child asked me if I could give up my window seat for his kid. I said, ‘Sorry, but no. I paid an extra 200 dollars for this seat’.

“I used to be anticipating him to be understanding and thoughts his own business however as an alternative he simply glared at me.”

Irritated, he resumed his music and continued to gaze out of the window – only to be interrupted by a flight attendant within minutes.

He further explained: “A flight attendant faucets me on the shoulder asking me if I may give up my seat for his child. I pulled out my ticket and the receipt I acquired after I paid further for the window seat and informed her ‘No, I paid further for window seat.'”

“She stated, ‘Okay, sorry to hassle you sir.’ I noticed her stroll back to him and say, ‘No’ for me,” he continued. “He glared at me one final time and that was that.

“I think he really thought he could get the flight attendant to take his side and force me out of my seat.”

Feeling vindicated for holding onto his seat, the person has since requested social media what others might need finished in his sneakers.

One consumer weighed in: “If your kid having a window seat is so important then buy one yourself.”

Someone else urged a cheeky strategy for future incidents, saying: “If a situation like this happens again, let them know that there is a £500 surcharge in order for you to move.”
