Ford Motor mentioned Thursday it’s recalling 4.3 million pickup vehicles and SUVs within the US as a result of a software error might trigger trailer brakes not to operate and exterior lights to fail.
The automaker mentioned the recall covers the 2021 by 2026 F-150, 2022-2026 F-250 SD, Lincoln Navigator, Expedition, Maverick together with some Ranger and E-Transit autos.
When towing a trailer, the Integrated Trailer Module might lose communication with the vehicle, probably inflicting a loss of brake and switch signal lights, or a loss of brake operate.
