NBC News NOW reveals programming change, promotes – Business News

Streaming service NBC News NOW is increasing its programming to 14 hours each weekday with a new two-hour show hosted by Christine Romans, a veteran business journalist. 

Romans, who joined NBC News in 2023 after 24 years at CNN, has been promoted to chief business correspondent and can anchor a new 10 a.m. show beginning this summer season, NBC News introduced this week.

“At a moment when economic news and the forces shaping the global economy are increasingly central to the daily news cycle, we see a clear opportunity to deepen our coverage as markets open and top stories take shape,” NBC News editorial president Rebecca Blumenstein and government veep of programming Janelle Rodriguez instructed workers in a word Wednesday.

The streaming service will now air information protection from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern Time on weekdays, “delivering more original programming than any other streaming news service and further strengthening our position as a leading destination for live, breaking news,” they wrote.

NBC News NOW may even be transferring to Studio 3A at 30 Rock, which was beforehand home to MSNBC – which was renamed MS NOW following its spin-off from NBCUniversal.

Blumenstein and Rodriguez stated the transfer is “part of this next phase of growth,” as NBC News NOW within the first quarter notched its most-watched quarter in a 12 months, and March marked the streamer’s strongest month since June 2025.

NBC News NOW’s protection of the Artemis II moon mission final week drew its largest Friday primetime viewers on file, based on the execs’ word.

Last November, MSNBC rebranded to MS NOW and moved beneath mother or father company Versant after Comcast spun off cable belongings together with Oxygen, E!, SYFY and the Golf Channel.

In January, shares in Versant slumped 13% in its market debut as traders questioned whether or not conventional TV companies will be capable to survive the streaming period.
