He was thrilled after the racing, telling FOX Sports: “Just really blessed with the late caution. Was that nuts or what? I couldn’t believe it.”
On Jordan, Reddick mentioned: “Got to deliver for the boss man,” Reddick said of Jordan. “If he’s going to come hang out with us, we have to get him dubs.”
MJ’s trash talk
NBA legend MJ vowed to trash-talk 23XI co-owner Hamlin after the JGR star fell short in Kansas. Despite both enjoying the fruits of 23XI’s success, Jordan still wants to remain competitive against Hamlin, who still races for a rival Cup team.
“Well, I mean, look, I’m racing against Denny [Hamlin], so I really wanted to beat him because I know we’re going to talk a lot of trash a little bit later, but it was a good race,” Jordan said.
“When we started to run out of fuel, I didn’t know what was happening but 23XI, all the guys drove well today. We finished, I think, all four cars in the top 15, so I mean that says a lot about the program.”
