Following Trump’s directive, the NCAA Board of Governors introduced updated guidelines restricting competition in women’s sports exclusively to athletes assigned female at birth.

However, a student assigned male at birth may still train with an NCAA women’s team and receive standard program benefits, including medical care.

Conversely, a student-athlete assigned feminine at delivery who has begun hormone remedy is barred from competing on a ladies’s workforce. Any program discovered to be fielding such athletes faces the loss of eligibility for NCAA ladies’s championships.
