Elon Musk pressured OpenAI leaders to cut a deal on the eve of their high-profile court docket battle – warning cofounder Greg Brockman that he and Sam Altman had been about to turn into the “the most hated men in America,” in accordance to a new court docket submitting.

In the submitting, OpenAI’s legal crew argues that Musk’s texts to Brockman lend to help to one of their core arguments – that Musk, because the founder of xAI, is making an attempt to jam up a rival company somewhat than pursue a reliable grievance.

OpenAI stated the texts and “similar menacing statements Mr. Musk has made in litigation” needs to be admissible in court docket and signaled they might ask Brockman about it when he’s known as to testify.
