The alarming incident unfolded during the closing moments of this system.

As Dokoupil wrapped a phase discussing tensions between China and Taiwan, a crash was out of the blue heard off-camera.

The broadcast instantly cut away to CBS News chief correspondent Matt Gutman back in New York.
