Addressing the heated confrontation while speaking to reporters moments later, Gragson explained: “I don’t want to put all of them in this group, but a lot of these open-wheel racers that come race with us. We’re running literally 30th. We weren’t where we wanted to be on the 14 this weekend. Kind of struggled in qualifying, struggling in the race, felt like we were making progress.”
“And these open wheel guys, they get fenders on their vehicles, they get bumpers, and we’re operating thirtieth. And they’re driving up the inside, barreling it up on the inside. We may all outbrake one another, however they’re pinballing it, they’re blasting our inside doorways. They get fenders on their vehicles, they get bumpers.
