Heim promptly reached out to Wallace, who qualified 29th for the Brickyard 400 — 22 spots behind the 23XI Racing development driver. “I texted him, I said, ‘Bro what are you doing?’ He never responded,” Heim said.
Door Bumper Clear host Tommy Baldwin Jr. joked that Wallace wouldn’t be thrilled about Heim giving him a hard time, chiming in: “He’s like, ‘This f—— kid already? I gotta deal with him breaking my chops because I had 100 pounds of break pressure?’”
Yet Heim doubled down on his lighthearted jab, replying: “When he walked all the way down pit road and asked me what I did, I said, ‘I never touched the break.’ And then he goes and touches the break.”
