After 16 years of serving the animals of town and county of LA, I can say with out hesitation that what is occurring to animals in our metropolis is heartbreaking, gut-wrenching — and fully preventable.
LA is one of the biggest cities on the earth and California has the fourth-largest financial system on Earth. Yet in the case of defending canines, LA leaders, residents, shelters, and elected leaders are failing them every day.
This will not be a useful resource drawback. It is a management drawback.

LA treats canines as kennel numbers, statistics, and animal ID numbers. Until the animals are seen because the sentient beings they’re, and compassionate, efficient leaders are operating our metropolis shelters, this nightmare will proceed.

At City Hall, there is no sense of urgency.
LA has the sources to unravel this disaster, but many of these with the facility and money to take action seem to have little curiosity or incentive.
