“But everyone at that level is really good at what they do. As everyone has gotten closer over the years, you’re fighting for smaller and smaller advantages and finding an edge is just, you’re talking about fractions of nothing. It’s very, very little, and it’s just hard to be different.
“Playing the track position game, and all the things that come with racing the way it is now, it’s just a different environment. You’ve got to be good from the morning on Saturday all the way to the evening on Sunday and there’s no time in between to have any bad spot really.”
