Brown sophomore Alex Shieh is dealing with disciplinary motion for the crime of … emailing people who work on the faculty to ask them what they do all day.

That’s proper: The Rhode Island Ivy is so determined to keep its administrative bloat as huge as doable (and prone to conceal a bunch of now-banned DEI shenanigans) that it’s going after a child for doing primary journalism.

The complaints in opposition to Shieh are absurd: The faculty whines about his “derogatory descriptions” of jobs and “misrepresenting” himself as a journalist (which he 100% is); it additionally claims he used “information and data that could only be obtained from non-public sources and systems” and says it’s in no manner a free speech concern.

Yeah, proper: It’s the standard educational kangaroo courtroom, so beloved by the woke left.

But it’s a signal that Shieh is over the goal.

His precise sin: Wanting to know from the three,805 people who work non-faculty jobs at Brown how they spend their time on the $90,000-a-year faculty.

More From Post Editorial Board

With 7,272 undergrads, Brown staffs a non-faculty employee for mainly each two children enrolled. What work can probably keep them busy?

Shieh received solely 20 responses (the varsity reportedly advised employees to not reply), many profane or hostile.

Yet he now faces Stalin-style punishment.

Hmm: Guess if you run a hedge fund with an grownup daycare connected — sorry, an “Ivy League university” — retaining hundreds of lazy losers on the payroll is more important than anything.

Otherwise, why inform them to keep mum? Any worker, wherever, must be 100% succesful of explaining his job with zero issues.

Happily, Shieh’s unfazed by the varsity’s response and is even set to increase his DOGE-style initiative throughout the Ivy League — and Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas) is now backing him and demanding solutions from Brown.

Good on ya, Alex.

This is an alternative for college kids of good religion in all places to demand their colleges come clean about their dependancy to countless administrative growth and DEI poison — and the tutoring hikes to pay for all of it.
