Here’s how Columbia University’s management can atone for its sins final spring: Throw the book at pro-Hamas thugs who stormed and illegally occupied the campus library during finals week.
This was not peaceable protest: They violated the college’s ban on sporting masks to hide your id, injured two campus security officers, defaced property and refused to current scholar IDs when requested.
Other college students needed to to evacuate the library — again, during finals.
School officers requested the occupiers to show ID and depart, then known as in the NYPD to arrest the 80 (61 girls, 19 males) who refused.
At least 50 reportedly are college students, but Columbia’s leaders up to now aren’t even clear if any can be suspended, not to mention expelled.

The college’s (newest) performing president, Claire Shipman, has a clear responsibility to throw the book at them.
