“When I’m at the track, I’m not really thinking like, ‘Oh, I’m surrounded by guys’ – but I am,” she continued. “Now that I’ve kind of grown older, I realize that I’m doing something that’s kind of different and also hopefully paving a path for younger girls.”

Though Breidinger exuded confidence in her SI photoshoot, she conceded that, at times, driving racecars can be a “humbling” expertise. “Racing is very humbling. You’re not competing against … one other person, or it’s not one team versus another team. It’s you against 30-plus drivers,” she mentioned.
