Simone Biles has entered the fray of the transgender athlete debate, this time branding Riley Gaines a “bully” on social media.

Gaines, a staunch advocate for the Trump administration’s insurance policies to limit trans athletes from collaborating in women and girls’s sports activities, has been on the forefront of a lawsuit towards the NCAA regarding trans athletes. The 25-year-old former swimmer-turned-conservative commentator even engaged in a fiery back-and-forth with Keith Olbermann over her loss to Lia Thomas in 2022.

Now, the ex-college swimmer is concentrating on a high college softball group, Champlin Park, which incorporates a trans athlete. On X, Gaines unleashed a barrage of vital remarks directed at Champlin Park, particularly after the college clinched a 6-0 victory to win the Minnesota Girls’ State Softball Championship, largely on account of Marissa Rothenberger’s standout pitching.

Witnessing the previous swimmer’s social media assaults, Biles stepped in with a fervent protection of Rothenberger and the Champlin Park group.

“@Riley_Gaines_ You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race,” started the Olympic icon’s fiery post on X. “Straight up sore loser. You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans [athletes] feel safe in sports.

“Maybe a transgender class IN ALL sports activities!! But as a substitute… You bully them… One issues for sure is no one in sports activities is protected with you round!!!!!” Biles continued, before adding another jab: “bully somebody your own dimension, which might paradoxically be a male @Riley_Gaines_.”

Gaines fired back, expressing her disappointment at seeing Biles support Rothenberger and other trans athletes.

“It’s not my job or the job of any lady to determine how to incorporate males in our areas. You can uplift males stealing championships in girls’s sports activities with YOUR platform. Men do not belong in girls’s sports activities and I say that with my full chest,” Gaines countered.

“My take is the least controversial tackle the planet. Simone Biles being a male apologist on the expense of younger women’ goals? Didn’t have that on my bingo card. Maybe she might compete in pommel horse and rings in 2028.”

Additionally, Gaines accused Biles of “physique shaming” by pointing out her height of 5-foot-5.

She wrapped up her response by referencing Biles’ past as a victim of sexual abuse by Larry Nassar, suggesting it should inform her stance on trans athletes competing against biological females.
