Westinghouse pursuing US nuclear expansion with 10 – Business News
Nuclear tools provider Westinghouse is in talks with US officers and industry companions about deploying 10 giant reactors, in response to presidential govt orders, the (*10*) Times reported on Sunday, citing the company’s CEO.
President Trump’s govt orders, which had been revealed on May 23, directed the federal government to cut down on laws and fast-track licenses for reactors and energy plants to shrink a multiyear course of to 18 months.

Dan Sumner, Westinghouse interim chief govt, instructed the FT that the company was “uniquely positioned” to ship the president’s agenda as a result of it had an accredited reactor design, a viable provide chain and up to date expertise of building two of its AP1000 reactors in Georgia.
“There is active engagement with the administration, including key points of interface with the loan programs office, recognizing the importance of financing to the deployment of the model,” he instructed the FT.
Westinghouse didn’t instantly reply to requests for remark exterior common business hours.
