Amazon also has some useful advice on how to avoid scams including watching out for messages that include false urgency and asking for personal information.

“Scammers might attempt to persuade you to supply personal data over the cellphone reminiscent of addresses, cost data, account login credentials, or financial data,” Amazon said.

If you are still not sure, you can simply head to Amazon’s Message Centre.

Explaining more, Amazon added: “If you obtain an e-mail claiming to be from Amazon and are uncertain if it’s from us, go to Message Centre to view all e-mail correspondence despatched by Amazon. If the e-mail doesn’t seem in Message Centre, then it was not despatched by Amazon.”
