Trump blasts AT&T over tech issues during call – Business News
President Trump slammed AT&T on Monday after technical issues interrupted his scheduled convention call with American religion leaders.
Trump referred to as on “the Boss of AT&T, whoever that may be” to get entangled and deal with the scenario, saying there have been “tens of thousands of people on the line” on the time of the glitch.
“I’m doing a major Conference Call with Faith Leaders from all over the Country, and AT&T is totally unable to make their equipment work properly,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “This is the second time it’s happened.”
AT&T is at the moment led by CEO John Stankey. The company’s shares rose 3% in Monday trading, however had turned barely unfavorable after-hours following Trump’s criticism.

In a second post, Trump apologized to religion leaders “for the long wait” as he tried to hook up with the call.
“AT&T ought to get its act together,” Trump wrote. “Please pass along the word to the tens of thousands of people who are there. We may have to reschedule the call, but we’ll use another carrier the next time. AT&T obviously doesn’t know what they’re doing!”
Shortly after Trump’s posts, AT&T mentioned it had “reached out to the White House and (is) working to quickly understand and assess the situation.”

Trump had beforehand clashed with AT&T during his first time period in workplace. At the time, the telecom giant owned CNN.
The present spat surfaced simply days after the Trump household unveiled plans to launch its own branded “Trump Mobile” wi-fi service and a $499 smartphone.
