“So obviously that was great for us. Every now and then, there were some challenges, but really they helped build our race team. They really did. And I appreciated both of them so much because they won a ton.”
Already an IndyCar champion, Stewart made the swap to the Cup Series in 1999, going on to win 33 races during his time with JGR, earlier than heading for Stewart-Haas Racing in 2009. As for Busch, he joined the workforce in 2008, profitable 56 races earlier than becoming a member of Richard Childress Racing in 2023.
