Who won NASCAR at Las Vegas? Pennzoil 400 results – Sports News
Josh Berry is the winner of the Pennzoil 400 in Las Vegas.
Berry’s win is his first of the younger season, becoming a member of Christopher Bell and William Byron on the pedestal of winners within the 2025 season. Byron won the Daytona 500 whereas Bell won the final three races: The Ambetter Health 400, EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix and the Shriners Children’s 500.
The 34-year-old’s win was the primary of his Cup Series profession and was the Wood Brothers Racing’s one hundred and first win all through the years. After the win, Berry spoke of what it meant to him, admitting that he did not even know “what to think” of his inconceivable victory at Las Vegas.
“Just, just awesome,” he instructed FOX Sports after the win. “I love this track. Las Vegas has been so good to me. I’ve had so many great moments here. Just, uh, struggled in the next-gen car here, but man, Miles and this whole 21 team, everybody at Wood Brothers Racing, they gave me a great car today.
“We simply, we simply battled and battled and battled and, man, it was our day. I simply can’t imagine it. Such a battle with Daniel [Suarez] there at the tip. Um, beating and banging at a mile and a half is loopy, however whoever was going to get out entrance was most likely going to win, and we had been in a position to get it entrance.”
Austin Cindric won Stage 1 and Kyle Larson – who won the 2024 edition of the race – won Stage 2, in a race that was filled with notable moments throughout. In particular, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch were both penalized for committing the same offense: Speeding on pit road.
Busch was clocked driving 50.19 mph on pit road, which is 0.19 mph faster than what is allowed at Las Vegas. Interestingly, each car does not have a speedometer on board, with drivers relying on a set of lights to dictate how fast they are driving, especially on pit road.
Typically, the speed limits range anywhere between 35 to 55 mph, though it is all dependent on where the race is. NASCAR determines what the speed limit will be for each race, with drivers and their crew chiefs being told of the limit during the meeting.
For their part, Hamlin was forced to race a lap down for the rest of the afternoon while Busch had to race from the rear. What’s more, Busch lost a tire during the Stage 2 restart, further making his quest to break his 62-race winless streak nigh impossible at Las Vegas.
