Latham & Watkins latest to sign lease at 1285 – Business News
The Midtown leasing juggernaut has simply notched one other win with a massive enlargement by Latham & Watkins at 1285 Sixth Ave.
The international law firm signed for 120,000 sq. ft at the 1.8 million square-foot tower, which can be home to UBS, Paul Weiss and BBDO. The Latham deal brings the tower to 100% leased.
Latham & Watkins’ transfer to the RXR-owned tower is pure enlargement. The firm is preserving its 435,000 sq. ft at Rockefeller Group’s close by 1271 Sixth Ave.

A CBRE group represented the tenant. RXR’s William Elder and Daniel Birney repped the owner in-house.
Latham & Watkins managing associate Marc Jaffe stated, “Our expansion in our 40th anniversary year reflects our continued momentum and deep commitment to the city.”
Like Park Avenue, which it trails by solely a few proportion factors, Sixth Avenue from forty second to 59th Street in recent times has loved a leasing increase pushed by main capital reinvestment in late-Twentieth Century workplace towers.
