Texas and Penn State, the main two groups in The Associated Press preseason Top 25, every had three gamers chosen for the preseason AP All-America team announced Monday.

The top-ranked Texas team had one participant from every degree of its protection on the primary team: edge rusher Colin Simmons, linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. , and security Michael Taaffe.

The second-ranked Penn State’s choices had been operating back Nicholas Singleton, offensive lineman Olaivavega Ioane, and defensive lineman Zane Durant.

The third-ranked Ohio State, fourth-ranked Clemson, sixth-ranked Notre Dame, eighth-ranked Alabama, and Pittsburgh every had two gamers on the primary team.

The Southeastern Conference boasted 12 gamers on the 27-man first team as decided by media members on the AP Top 25 voting panel. The Big Ten had seven gamers, the ACC 4, and the Big 12 two.

Clemson’s Cade Klubnik was the overwhelming preseason selection for first-team quarterback after throwing for 3,639 yards with 39 touchdowns and simply six interceptions.

Ohio State security Caleb Downs and Florida middle Jake Slaughter are returning first-team AP All-Americans.

Downs, whose late interception in opposition to Texas helped secure a College Football Playoff semifinal win for defending champion Ohio State, shone as a freshman at Alabama two years in the past and established himself as the nation’s high security in his first season with the Buckeyes.

He’s a projected top-three decide within the 2026 NFL draft. Downs was joined on the preseason All-America first team by Buckeyes receiver Jeremiah Smith.

Slaughter, a high contender for the Rimington Trophy as the nation’s premier middle, performed 800 snaps in his breakout season for the Gators. He allowed only one sack and was among the many highest-rated run and move blockers within the nation, based on Pro Football Focus.

The AP All-America team for this season will probably be unveiled in December. It will commemorate the one hundredth anniversary of the primary team printed in 1925.
