China’s version of one of Ferrari’s most sought-after automobiles might quickly be heading to Europe and the UK. From the surface, Xiaomi’s YU7 might nearly go as a Ferrari Purosangue, the primary four-seater car ever constructed by the Italian marque.

Chinese cellphone and car producer Xiaomi has confirmed that it plans to launch electric automobiles in Europe from 2027 after robust growth in Asia. The transfer might see the YU7 and the SU7 sedan enter the market within a couple of years in a main problem to conventional manufacturers. With the Xiaomi more likely to sell for over £300,000 much less than the Ferrari, the Chinese model is definite to depart tongues wagging.

Launching in China earlier this summer time, the Xiaomi YU7 is a performance-focused SUV fitted with 681bhp. The model is claimed to be succesful of up to 519 miles on a single charge and may top-up its battery from 10% to 80% in simply 12 minutes.

The Xiaomi YU7 SUV is succesful of reaching 157 mph (253 km/h) at high velocity, down barely on the Purosangue which stands at 193 mph (310 km/h). However, each vehicles have an nearly an identical acceleration with each fashions reaching 62mph in simply 3.2 to three.3 seconds.

YouTube channel @Wheelsboy confused the model may be thought of a rival to the Purosnague and different luxurious manufacturers regardless of its low price.

He stated: “People are very happy to be able to drive a car that looks like a luxury brand for a fraction of the price… This long hood and relatively low profile cabin would be familiar in the super SUV segment.

“We are talking about the [Ferrari]  Purosangue, the Aston Martin DBX. But when it comes to mid-sized electric SUVs it’s positively alien. This thing at nearly 2m wide and about 1.6 metres in height looks absolutely sinister when parked next to other moe traditionally shaped, computer mouse shaped, electric SUVs.”

But, price is the place Xiaomi’s design actually comes into its own, with the bottom model beginning at simply £26,000 back home in China.

Higher-spec variations can price highway customers round £33,500 in Asia and can doubtless be a bit greater if the model ever launches the car within the UK. However, the price remains to be set to be significantly decrease than the Ferrari Purosangue which might set highway customers back nearly £365,000.
