Novak Djokovic has teased that he may recruit nine-time Grand Slam winner Monica Seles to his teaching staff as he pursues a twenty fifth Major title. The Serbian star is set to tackle Learner Tien in his first-round conflict at this 12 months’s US Open, with the match kicking off on Sunday.

Djokovic has previously hailed Seles as among his “childhood idols” and would undoubtedly gain from her vast tennis expertise if the pair officially team up.

The Serbian hasn’t claimed a Grand Slam since his triumphant US Open campaign in 2023. During that tournament, he demolished Daniil Medvedev 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 to clinch his third Major championship of that calendar year.

However, the tennis icon reached the final four at the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon during the current season.
