Half of British drivers have given their automobiles a title, with ‘Baby’, ‘Beast’, and ‘Bella’ amongst the nation’s favourites, a new survey reveals. A ballot of 2,000 motorists discovered that a quarter of those that title their automobiles achieve this as a result of they really feel a robust emotional connection, with many contemplating their vehicle half of the household. The analysis was commissioned by TV streaming service U to coincide with Name Your Car Day, which is home to many motoring exhibits together with Bangers & Cash.
Bangers & Cash is now in its twelfth season with all episodes out there to watch on demand. Star of the show Derek Mathewson mentioned: “I like National Name Your Car Day, it shows how important cars are to us. It’s kind of nostalgic to me. Cars were part of the family, they really were.
“I’m stunned at some of the names on the record. There are a lot beginning with the letter B. I’ve had a good quantity of automobiles I’ve referred to as one thing starting with B over the years, however I’m glad to see they aren’t on the record! I do like Betty although.
“Although I remember we had an Avenger Estate called ‘Auntie’, I’ve no idea why. I think it’s because she was so reliable.”

“That’s why exhibits like Bangers & Cash resonate so deeply – they have fun the tales behind the autos, not simply the engines.”
