The Issue: Increasing help for socialism amid New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s win.
All of you who smugly vote for socialists ought to heed Margaret Thatcher’s phrases of knowledge: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money (“Socialist NYC? Yes we ‘Khan,’ ” Nov. 15).”
This is probably the most primary flaw in socialism’s financial construction.
It won’t ever achieve New York City or wherever else.

It appears that New Yorkers undergo from not realizing historical past and economics.
Too many ignorant people are voting in too many ignorant politicians.
Millions of the unlawful immigrants who flooded the United States have been escaping from socialism in South America, Central America and Cuba.
Socialism is a system that makes everybody poor apart from these in control.
Meanwhile, capitalism is the best source of social justice ever devised by man; no different system comes close.
Hopefully New Yorkers can determine this out earlier than their state practically goes bankrupt again.
I don’t assume the federal authorities will bail them out this time.

Today’s Gen Z voters have no idea what communism or socialism actually are.
They don’t know what the Holocaust and World War II have been about.
Undereducated voters simply know what the phrase “free” means, and in the event that they don’t get it, they are going to riot.

Trump says, “If you have a communist running New York, all you’re doing is wasting the money you’re sending there.”
It’s unusual he doesn’t know the distinction between a socialist and a communist.
That’s just like the distinction between Bernie Sanders and Joseph Stalin. Quite a distance between the 2, actually.
On the opposite hand, Trump says he likes Chinese communist Xi Jinping “a lot.”
My head is spinning.

It should be very complicated for younger voters immediately.
They’re informed that with capitalism, you do as properly in life as the trouble you put forth, whereas with socialism, everybody receives the identical therapy — effort or not — which should appear a lot fairer.

I suppose we’ll see how profitable Mamdani is as mayor together with his plans for a socialist utopia.

The Issue: The BBC airing deceptively edited footage of President Trump’s Jan. 6, 2021 speech.
President Trump is threatening to sue the BBC for modifying his Jan. 6, 2021 speech to make it seem like he incited the violent Capitol riot (“Sorry, not $orry: BBC to Trump,” Nov. 14).
The Jan. 6 committee, which did comparable modifying of proof and withheld proof to make Trump look dangerous, must be held accountable subsequent.

It’s ironic that the United Kingdom makes a number of arrests every day for hate speech, but officers are “mum” about this slanderous Panorama documentary on Trump.
