More Boar’s Head products are being recalled resulting from potential listeria contamination after a rampant bacterial outbreak final 12 months killed 10 people and sickened dozens more.

Ambriola Company on Monday issued a recall for some of its pecorino romano cheese products, which it provides to Boar’s Head.

The recall contains Boar’s Head grated pecorino Romano cheese and FS grated Romano cheese, each with sell-by dates from Nov. 21 by means of March 12, 2026.

These recalled products have been distributed to Kroger shops in Kentucky and Indiana and likewise used within the model’s grab-n-go containers of chicken Caesar salad and chicken Caesar wrap.

Boar’s Head stated it determined “in an abundance of caution” to recall all products it makes use of from Ambriola Company, together with pre-cut pecorino Romano, which didn’t check constructive for possible listeria contamination.

In July 2024, the deli meat-and-cheese giant was slammed by a widespread listeria outbreak that led to the recall of more than 7 million kilos of meat. 

The outbreak – which stemmed from a Boar’s Head plant in Virginia – in the end killed 10 people and despatched dozens more to the hospital with critical sicknesses.

Boar’s Head has been meting out tens of millions in dozens of hush-hush payouts to the households of victims who died from eating the contaminated deli meat because it tries to put the scandal behind it, The Post completely reported in September.

That included a $4 million payout to a Long Island widow after her 73-year-old husband, Robert Hamilton, was rushed to Nassau University Medical Center with abdomen pains, diarrhea and a fever days after eating a Boar’s Head sandwich. He died six days later.

Reports earlier this 12 months revealed that authorities inspectors had found flagrant unsanitary situations on the Virginia plant and two others – together with meat and fats residue on tools and partitions, dripping condensation falling on food, mildew and even bugs. 

Boar’s Head in August introduced plans to reopen its Virginia manufacturing facility.

The FDA gave Monday’s recall a Class I designation — essentially the most critical stage — that means “that the use of, or exposure to, a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.”

Consuming tainted products could cause listeriosis, a critical an infection that may be deadly to people with weak immune systems, older adults, pregnant girls and their newborns.

Listeriosis signs embody fever, muscle aches, complications, stiff neck, convulsions and diarrhea. In pregnant girls, the situation could cause miscarriages, stillbirths or untimely supply.

The FDA stated it has not but acquired any reviews of sicknesses or complaints linked to the newest recall.

Food security officers urged customers to throw away the recalled products, including that “if consumers have any product they question, do not consume it, but rather discard it.”

Boar’s Head and Ambriola didn’t instantly reply to The Post’s requests for remark.
