The Issue: The European Union’s lack of involvement in President Trump’s Russia-Ukraine peace deal.
Dominic Green is right to level out that the Europeans need to do more to help Ukraine on their own continent (“The Kids’ Table,” PostOpinion, Dec. 8).
But describing the proposed peace plan to finish the struggle as “a triple win for the Europeans” is absurd.
How does eradicating sanctions on Russia make it much less of a risk to Europe?

The Issue: Luigi Mangione’s alleged homicide of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
I’m a law-abiding American citizen, and am actually sick of listening to that the entitled killer Luigi Mangione is a hero (“Luigi had a to-do list,” Dec. 9) .
He allegedly took a father and husband’s life in a cold-blooded ambush.
I don’t doubt that he did it, no matter how a lot protection attorneys are attempting to suppress the proof.
Maybe if our elected lawmakers stopped inciting Americans to disobey legal guidelines, we might go back to being a a lot better nation for all.

Unlike his Nintendo counterpart, a plumber, this Luigi is barely clogging our criminal-justice system.

Our society contains an aspect of depravity, because the gunman who allegedly murdered United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson is admired by many who seem to imagine that when you’ve got a grievance in opposition to somebody or their company, you might have a license to kill.
If the one pictures proven within the aftermath of the homicide had been these of the sufferer, and if an emphasis had been positioned on the injury that’s been inflicted upon his spouse, youngsters and all who liked him, the savages who take the lives of others would have some wind taken out of their sails.
