The Issue: Protests towards ICE erupting throughout the nation after the capturing of Renee Nicole Good.

What is incorrect with these people who protest towards what is true (“All gas, no brake for lefty outrage,” Jan. 10)?

Do they need illegals dwelling off of their taxes? Do they need free housing for them, when the remaining of us should pay for a roof over our heads? These protesters need some variety of mind remedy to get it proper.

Brenda Hodgkiss

Atlantic Highlands, NJ

Protesting in America is a constitutional proper, which I wholeheartedly help. But these wishing to take action ought to learn the First Amendment which reads: “Congress shall make no law . . . prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble ” (my emphasis).

Scott Ventrella

Ridgefield, Conn.

I’m so sick of these self-righteous agitators screaming at our courageous and devoted ICE and Border Patrol brokers.

If any of these idiots misplaced a beloved one as a result of of a violent unlawful alien, I’ve a feeling they might not be making an attempt to keep them on this nation.

I urge the nice residents of the United States to stop listening to the rhetoric spewing from the left, open their eyes and understand they’re being taken for fools by the criminals making an attempt to destroy us. Also, the politicians fanning the flames have to be held accountable and stopped instantly.

Jean Cole

Juno Beach, Fla.

I actually assume Gov. Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey ought to be arrested for inciting riots and proclaiming “justice”: These two politicians are the worst at their jobs.

Remember, these protesters are educated to harm brokers and law-enforcement officers. What occurred is tragic, however the reality is that this girl threatened these officers. End of story.

Kate Phelan

Boca Raton, Fla.

I’m appalled and astounded as to the stupidity and disrespect of the so-called protesters.

Did this girl must die? No.

Is she liable for her own death? There are two sides on this, however as I see it, she didn’t hearken to the authoritative figures that had been approaching her car. Had she not agitated and displayed her ignorance of the law, she could be alive immediately.

The Issue: Mayor Mamdani becoming a member of 15,000 placing private-hospital nurses on the picket line.

Will somebody please inform comrade Mayor Mamdani that there was no need for him to affix the picket line and handle the gang on the nurse’s strike (“You’re Management Now, Mr. Mayor,” Editorial, Jan. 13)?

As mayor, he ought to work assiduously behind the scenes to encourage the unions and hospital management to resolve the deadlock, instantly. If the mayor absolutely understood his position, he wouldn’t have dedicated such a evident fake pas.

Michael Headley

Brooklyn

You’re free to criticize Mamdani. But the framing of your editorial is more sneer than evaluation: It implies hypocrisy with out partaking the precise coverage substance of the strike — unsafe staffing, workplace-violence protections, retention and the economics of New York City health-care supply.

If you need to persuade skeptical readers, lead with details: staffing ratios, emptiness charges, contract phrases, hospital funds, and what the town can and can’t control — not caricature.

Ian Mutchnick

Louisville, Ky.

These nurses go above and past the call of obligation, and are due for what they ask for.

I hope the hospital administrations will do the best factor for these nurses and their sufferers who rely on these nurses’ help.

Frederick Bedell Jr.

Bellerose
