Chrysler recalls over 450K vehicles citing brake – Business News
Chrysler is recalling more than 450,000 vehicles and more than 2,000 tow-trailer modules over a brake gentle failure that might raise the risk of a crash, in keeping with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The recall impacts 456,287 vehicles and an further 2,871 tow-trailer modules, the NHTSA mentioned in a pair of notices Monday.
The affected vehicles include the defective modules, which the company mentioned have been improperly designed.
The modules affected by the recall might consequence within the brake lights on connected trailers failing to light up, or they might trigger trailer brakes to fail altogether, slicing visibility and growing crash risk.
The affected merchandise embody the 2026 Jeep Cherokee, 2024-2026 Jeep Wagoneer S, 2025-2026 Ram 1500, 2025-2026 Ram 2500, 2025-2026 Ram 3500, 2025-2026 Ram 4500, 2025-2026 Ram 5500 and sure Mopar tow-trailer modules.

Anyone with the recalled tow-trailer modules put in can take them to a Fiat Chrysler vendor for a free substitute.
