The Issue: Chief Aaron Edward and Sgt. Luis Navarro’s heroic takedown of ISIS bomb-throwers.

The viral photograph of Assistant Chief Aaron Edwards leaping over a metallic barricade merely exemplifies the braveness and coaching of each uniformed and plainclothes member of New York’s Finest (“Police chief’s an action hero,” March 11).

Mayor Mamdani mustn’t solely reward our police, but in addition rent more to make residents even safer.

Whitestone

While I heartily applaud Chief Edwards and the opposite police officers who risked their lives to safeguard Gracie Mansion to seize these two miscreants with their terrorist actions, I can’t help considering, why?

This mayor despises the police and different law-enforcement companies.

If he thinks he needn’t rent more police — which we should have in immediately’s political climate — let him do his own factor and defend himself. What a hypocrite.

Chief Edwards and the officers like him are the true heroes.

Edwards is a true New York City hero.

He was keen to put himself at risk to guard this metropolis by taking down a would-be terrorist.

Will Mayor Mamdani show his and our gratitude by offering him the keys to the town or by inviting him to Gracie Mansion?

I believe not.

Martin Garfinkle

Staten Island

Chief Edwards, together with Sgt. Luis Navarro and different officers, displayed the kind of noble valor that epitomizes the character of the women and men in blue who selflessly risk their lives day-after-day to keep this metropolis protected.

Our police have earned the best to be handled with our utmost respect and gratitude.

The Thin Blue Line will proceed its sworn responsibility to guard and serve regardless, however it will go a long manner in boosting morale if officers have been proven the appreciation they deserve.

Thomas Urban

Wantagh

The ISIS-sympathizing terrorists sought to create mass destruction on the Gracie Mansion protest. But these evil-doers have been stopped because of the bravery of the NYPD and the FBI.

I applaud NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, the NYPD and the FBI for his or her fast motion, and for going past the call of responsibility and endangering their own lives as effectively.

The Issue: Mayor Mamdani inviting Mahmoud Khalil to Gracie Mansion for Ramadan.

One day after his insincere statements about disapproving violence at Gracie Mansion, Mamdani hosts pro-Hamas activist Mahmoud Khalil for dinner (“Ramadan ‘fast’ & furious reaction,” March 11).

If he was a actual chief, a actual mensch, he would have invited the police officers who sprung into quick motion on the scene, and provides them the popularity they deserve.

Stanley Rubin

Fresh Meadows

Mayor Mamdani and his spouse have the audacity to ask an anti-Israel activist to Gracie Mansion for dinner.

Do any of the Jewish voters on the market in New York who’ve voted for this antisemite mayor see what they’re reaping?

If that’s not a message to all, then I don’t know what it’s.

Gracie Mansion is the people’s mansion and isn’t for use as an leisure middle for any hate-filled particular person.

Gene O’Brien

Whitestone

No shock that Mamdani would invite Khalil to Gracie Mansion; they’re ideological soulmates of their need to wipe Israel off the map and to intimidate New York Jews by flaunting their antisemitism.

It’s actually unlucky that ICE brokers didn’t march proper in and take away Khalil: Let him observe Ramadan whereas he awaits deportation.

David Rabinovitz
