Wawa recalls 4 drink products over undeclared – Business News
(*4*)Convenience store chain Wawa is recalling sure company-branded drinks as a consequence of an undeclared milk allergen.
The recall impacts 16-ounce bottles of Wawa Iced Tea Lemon, Wawa Iced Tea Diet Lemon, Wawa Diet Lemonade and Wawa Fruit Punch. All 4 drinks are produced by the Wawa Beverage Company.
Wawa mentioned in a press release that the products are no longer being offered and have been disposed of by affected shops. The recall was initiated after the company “identified and corrected” a short-term tools challenge which will have resulted within the presence of an undeclared milk allergen within the drinks.
The chain mentioned people with milk allergy symptoms “run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.”
No sicknesses have been reported thus far in reference to the recall, Wawa mentioned.
The company urges shoppers who bought the affected objects to dispose of them instantly and call the company’s buyer contact heart through e-mail or telephone; they will request a refund within the type of a Wawa reward card.
