“I would have loved to have another lap. I missed the 11 [Denny Hamlin] — I didn’t quite clear him and it messed both of our momentums up, and it made it where I couldn’t make a move there in the end,” he continued.
“I wouldn’t say we are proud of that effort. We kind of got lucky with that caution, [as] we were going to run 12th with two to go, so glad we were able to turn it around and see if we can build on it.”
Perhaps Briscoe could have chased down Reddick, but the 23XI Racing driver is, in the words of co-owner Michael Jordan, “On fire,” as he captured a fifth win in 9 2026 races.
“I don’t know how I can ever cool him down,” Jordan said of his star pupil. “He is unbelievable. Unbelievable last couple of laps. I’m proud of the whole team.”
Briscoe and Reddick will look to proceed their robust type subsequent week at the 2026 Jack Link’s 500 in Talladega.
