The Issue: Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s go to to the Delaney Hall detention heart on Memorial Day.

New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill disgraced her workplace by protesting in opposition to ICE in Newark on Memorial Day of all days.

Sherrill is aware of higher: ICE is lawfully finishing up its duties beneath watchful eyes, defending the very people she governs (“NJ gov ripped for ICE show,” May 26).

Democrats throughout the nation are hurting Americans and embarrassing their constituents and themselves with reprehensible demonstrations that don’t symbolize the opinions of many Americans.

Please go away ICE to do its job lawfully and successfully.

Dennis Kerbis

Staten Island

During Memorial Day weekend, whereas homeless veterans have been sleeping on the street, Gov. Mikie “photo-op” Sherrill went to an ICE detention heart in Newark, wanting a tour to make sure the unlawful aliens housed there are being dealt with with child gloves.

She was rightly turned away, photo-op thwarted.

Sen. Andy Kim, Dem political hack, and Rep. Rob Menendez, son of “Gold Bars” Bob Menendez, have been allowed in.

This exhibits the place Democrats’ alliances lie: unlawful aliens over American veterans.

Walter Goldeski

East Brunswick, NJ

If so-called sanctuary cities would cooperate with ICE, there could be no motive for ICE to enter the streets and guess if somebody is a legal or not.

The course of would transfer easily, and everybody could be safer.

The logic of these anti-ICE protesters is baffling.

John Avelli

Brooklyn

On Memorial Day, Gov. Sherrill tried having access to the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility — and of course she was denied.

She determined to grandstand on Memorial Day, taking away from honoring fallen troopers.

Politicians like to make a title for themselves whereas unlawful migrants break the law.

Joseph Comperchio

Brooklyn

Delaney Hall homes violent felons who came to visit the Biden-Harris open border.

Sherrill and Sens.

Cory Booker and Andy Kim need to make sure these criminals have a luxurious keep.

They all might now be referred to as the worst of the worst politicians, siding with those that will hurt them and their households.

Who are the ignorant people that voted for them?

J.R. Cummings

The Issue: The airing of the ultimate episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

Good riddance to “The Late Show” (“ ‘Late’ finally put to sleep,” May 23).

Ever since CBS determined to not renew the show, lefties like Bruce Springsteen have been attempting to put out the false narrative that President Trump was accountable for its cancellation.

Stephen Colbert’s show was one of CBS’s costliest exhibits, reportedly costing over $100 million a yr, whereas shedding between $40 million to $50 million yearly.

Colbert’s wage was round $15 million a yr.

Easy math.

CBS made a good business resolution.

Michael DiCosmo

Fair Lawn, NJ

It appears as if The Post has had one piece or one other about Colbert every single day since his show was lastly taken off the air.

OK, it’s half of the present information cycle, however I’d wager that almost all of your readers couldn’t care much less.

The best option to rejoice his departure could be to permit him to fade into the obscurity and irrelevance he so rightly deserves.

Tom McGlynn

Rockaway, NJ

So, Colbert ruins a late-night comedy franchise by abandoning laughter in favor of rip-and-slash political commentary.

He made tens of millions whereas his show misplaced tens of millions.

Then, when it was canceled, he whined about being a martyr.

Not shopping for it.

Gary Layton

Interlaken, NJ
