With youngsters now back to “the daily school grind,” USA Today’s Ingrid Jacques is blasting blue-state governors for not opting in to the new federal school-choice tax-credit program. The govs’ opposition “has nothing to do with what’s best for kids”; they’re simply “afraid to tick off the teachers unions that bankroll their campaigns.” So far, 31 states have opted in and three governors declined, leaving the remaining of the states with Democratic governors “stuck between angering unions and angering parents.” Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is beneath “heavy pressure from teachers’ unions” to “stay out.” By distinction, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis admits “he’d be ‘crazy not to’ opt in.” It’s time Dems like Whitmer show they “truly care about kids more than special interests.”
Democrat: DSA Is Going To Sink Our Party
“If Democrats are going to earn the confidence of Americans this November and beyond, the answer will not be found in the Democratic Socialists of America’s platform,” warns Rep. Tom Suozzi on the Free Press. “It calls for abolishing immigration enforcement, police, and prisons”; changing the Senate and unbiased govt and judicial branches with a single “unicameral legislature”; and state possession of all “food, education, energy, medical, and transportation sectors.” The nation envisioned by the DSA is not one “most Americans would want to live in.” Democrats “will lose huge numbers of votes if they believe our party accepts or embraces the DSA worldview.” Unless Democrats “speak out against the DSA and its platform,” voters might determine “the party is too radical to be trusted.”

Many distinguished tech buyers “want the immigration debate to be strictly polar because it is the only way their traitorous ideas might seem reasonable,” thunders Anduril’s Palmer Luckey on X. Culture warrior: Football Can Save Our Boys
“Football is back,” cheers Ben Sasse at The Wall Street Journal, “and America’s boys need to play it.” In latest years, “war and work have faded” as formative masculine experiences, and “bureaucratized schooling and digital media” have “filled the void.” Yet “factory-model education keeps young men passive,” whereas “digital media has a profoundly negative effect on young men,” by distracting and addicting them. “Society needs strong men,” and “football is a character-forming institution that channels strength” and “teaches perseverance.” It “creates community” and “forms brotherhood,” “privileges action” and “prepares us for war,” concurrently “celebrating and constraining violence.” It “forms such habits” as “delayed gratification and self-sacrifice.” And it “produces character,” which is why “we owe our boys football.”
