And whereas Trump unabashedly places America’s pursuits first, his emphasis on motion is a clear indictment of the United Nations’ failure to perform its main mission: to confront threats to world peace, equivalent to Iran.
The president was even more specific about his disdain for Turtle Bay’s efforts to impose a “far-left agenda” and for its “globalists,” “rogue” International Criminal Court, Human Rights Council and UNESCO.
Yes, “the United Nations has great, great potential,” Trump allowed; his criticisms intention to reserve it.
But that requires a large shift in UN tradition — and management.
Secretary-General António Guterres’ decade of misrule has seen the forms bloat and obsessively goal Israel.
It’s had little to say, as Trump famous, about the persecution of Christians; it failed to step up to world challenges, equivalent to Iran.
Israel has recognized practically 1,500 UN staff as members of Hamas or allied terror teams; many joined in the Oct. 7 rape-kill-and-kidnap atrocities.
