California universities say they’re making an attempt to ship a harder message on antisemitism.
Maybe they need to inform the legal system to wake up as nicely.
Thirteen Stanford college students had been arrested in June 2024 for breaking into the workplaces of the Stanford University administration.

One of them was a journalist for the Stanford Daily, the coed newspaper. Charges in opposition to him had been dropped.
But the guilt of no less than some of the remainder was by no means unsure.
According to the college, the scholars broke into the administration workplaces, started vandalizing them, and barricaded themselves inside.
The incident occurred on the top of the “encampment” motion, wherein anti-Israel activists occupied universities’ campuses in tent cities. Some particularly focused Jews; others merely made Jewish college students, school, and workers uncomfortable with pro-terror rhetoric and occasional violence.
The Stanford Daily reported that the scholars who broke into the administration had been pro-Palestinian activists, and that they had been chanting “Our office now,” and “Palestine will be free, we will free Palestine.”
There is no press freedom in Palestinian-controlled areas, least of all Gaza, which is run by Hamas.

Setting that apart, it seemed like an open-and-shut case.
Six took plea offers. Five defendants determined to go to trial.
A jury in Santa Clara County couldn’t attain a verdict this previous February, though a majority had been in favor of conviction.

District Attorney Jeff Rosen stated he would attempt them again — earlier than he was faraway from the case by Superior Court Judge Kelly Paul.

But the decide stated that Rosen had a political battle of curiosity. Many observers felt the actual motive he was eliminated as a result of he was Jewish, and that was the actual “conflict.”
California Attorney General Rob Bonta took over the case.
This week, he dropped the felony fees in opposition to the 5 remaining defendants.
The defendants have agreed to pay restitution for Stanford’s damages, and to do 100 hours of group service.
