Erin Bradshaw, daughter of NFL icon Terry Bradshaw, has credited her father for sparking her interest in horse riding at a tender age. Born to Terry and his third wife Charla Hopkins in 1989, Erin’s early fascination with horses was evident.

Now a world champion equestrian with the American Paint Horse Association as of 2025, she openly appreciates her father’s significant influence on her equestrian pursuits.

Speaking to Cowgirl Magazine, Erin expressed gratitude, saying, “[My dad] put me on a horse when I was 5, and really let me start living that dream. Without him, I don’t really think I would have even started riding.”

Despite her success, Erin has navigated through challenges, including a recent calamity at her Texas ranch. Erin, her husband, and their daughter Jessie were spared injury when a tornado struck their property, but it caused considerable damage.

Two loafing sheds were destroyed, one collapsing in a pasture with a mare and her foal, leading to the foal’s tragic death and injuries to the mare.

Erin took to Instagram to share her sorrow: “Not what anyone wants to wake up to, and we are heartbroken to lose a baby, but things could have been worse. I’m glad our home is okay. I have no idea what hit us, but it had a little path through our property and down our road like a small tornado.”

Erin, one of the daughters from her father’s marriage to Hopkins, took to social media to post images depicting the havoc wreaked by a recent storm.

In a candid message of frustration and gratitude, she mentioned, “Texas you can kiss my a– today. And now we have a dust storm,” followed by a disheartened emoji.

Erin, born into a family with an interesting mix of talents, chose horseback riding as her passion while her sister Rachel, born in 1987, pursued music, making an appearance on the reality TV series Nashville in 2007. Their parents separated in 1999, and Terry married his 13-year partner, Tammy, in 2014.
