Stop bicycle owner crime
The bikes are completely out of control in New York City at present (“E-bike danger an e-emergency,” May 29).
The bike lanes subsequent to the curb are borderline unsafe. Bikers trip at excessive speeds utilizing gasoline and electric motors, whereas being oblivious to pedestrians and any site visitors legal guidelines in any way.
How many instances should one see them driving on the sidewalk? Or going the mistaken approach on a one-way road? Riding in opposition to site visitors? Running full stop indicators and purple lights?
How many vehicular accidents have they brought about and simply saved going? How many pedestrians have they injured or killed with no penalties?
They suppose they will do something they need with zero penalties from the NYPD as a result of elected officers shield them. Every kind of bike must be licensed, registered and insured.

Trump’s triumphs
President Trump opened the Overton Window broad and let contemporary air push back the stale concepts of the left (“End of the Woke Road,” Rich Lowry, PostOpinion, May 28).
Democrats imposed pronouns, equity for “oppressed” people regardless of personal effort, political favor based mostly on pores and skin shade and — maybe the foulest thought of all — intersectionality.
The woke destroyed many colleges, from elementary to universities, with mephitic concepts. They lowered heroes’ statues to rubble, rewrote our historical past and tried to rework our nation into Nazi Germany for Jews.
No matter what others suppose of his presidency, Trump has engineered a great victory for America.

Not all migrants
While I’ve no drawback with sending violent legal migrants back to Venezuela, I discover it cold-hearted and silly to now be sending back the distinctive ones (“Ire at ICE detain of migrant student,” May 28).
Under a Biden-era entry program, this boy was legally right here and on observe to grow to be a productive member of society. He was in high faculty, working part-time to help assist his mom and siblings and exhibiting up to his immigration hearings. The authorities modified the guidelines, and he’s now locked up.
The outdated bait-and-switch is for catching rats, and never all immigrants are rats.
Donathan Salkaln, Manhattan
Democratic doom
One of the great issues about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez operating in opposition to Sen. Chuck Schumer in a Democratic major is that we will get rid of one of them (“Schu’re in big trouble,” May 26).
Schumer has grow to be an more and more pathetic political determine over the previous few years. As a Jew, his silence over pro-Hamas activists threatening Jewish college students at many ranges is an embarrassing instance of political cowardice. His “we’re moving forward” responses to questions on his function in protecting up former President Joe Biden’s mental capability is insulting to the intelligence of Americans.
If AOC wins, we’re nonetheless caught with an elitist phony whose concern for her constituents is a shame. Regardless, one is best than two.
Robert DiNardo, Farmingdale
Fugitive discovered
You can run, however you may’t disguise (“ ‘Cop stomper,’ busted,” May 28).
The coward who beat up an NYPD officer was nabbed in Virginia. Will his mommy and household good friend be charged with harboring a fugitive? The feds ought to give them a look.
Mike Lapinga, Staten Island
