One of the illegally modified cars belonged to Power, while the other was two-time Indy 500 winner Josef Newgarden.
The offense led to the firing of President Tim Cindric, managing director Ron Ruzewski, and GM Kyle Moyer. The racing organization previously suspended Cindric and Ruzewski during the Indy 500, and both cars were fined $100k each.
