Syrian-born, anti-Israel firebrand Mahmoud Khalil refuses to say Hamas is a murderous terrorist group — but Democratic lawmakers nonetheless are speeding to hail him as a martyr.

What pathetic losers.

Asked to “specifically condemn Hamas” past the Oct. 7 assaults, Khalil demurred: “It’s disingenuous to ask about condemning Hamas while Palestinians are the ones being starved now by Israel.”

Wow. The former Columbia University grad pupil might discover no dangerous phrases for Hamas but one way or the other managed to fault Israel for the plight of Gazans caught in a struggle the terrorists began.

(Civilians, by the way in which, would possibly discover themselves “starved” as a result of lawless Hamas often hijacks worldwide food support.)

Any marvel the Trump administration accused Khalil of sympathizing with the US-designated terrorist group and held him in federal detention earlier than a court docket compelled his release?

The best Khalil might do was to spew mealy-mouthed blather condemning the killing of “all civilians, full stop.” But he drew the road at calling out Hamas by identify.

He additionally accused his CNN hosts of “selective outrage” for, he mentioned, not “condemning Oct. 6, where 260 Palestinians were killed by Israel.” Of course, there’s nothing to condemn, as a result of no such factor occurred.

Yet Khalil’s pro-terror narrative didn’t stop the standard gaggle of Israel-bashing and morally vile Democrats from welcoming him during his latest go to to Capitol Hill. That contains Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.) and Reps. Rashida Tlaib (Mich.), Ilhan Omar (Minn.), Summer Lee (Pa.), Troy Carter (La.) and Jim McGovern (Mass.).

Since his time in a federal lock-up, Democrats have hailed Khalil as a martyr within the anti-Trump resistance motion. But Mahmoud Khalil is no martyr. He’s a Hamas simp.

It’s dangerous enough that people like him are working round stirring up bother on faculty campuses.

But when US lawmakers suck up to a terrorist sympathizer like him, this nation has huge issues.
