Asda has launched a big offer for its loyal prospects. For the primary time, the grocery store has expanded its Rewards app to fuel, permitting consumers to save money on the pumps. The retailer is offering prospects who spend £40 or more in a single in-store transaction 5p off each litre of fuel. However, motorists should be fast because the offer ends July 31.

Shoppers will routinely have the coupon added to their Rewards app after finishing an eligible buy, and it may be used for one fuel transaction till August 7.

The retailer mentioned that a motorist filling a 60-litre household car may save up to £3 by way of the promotion, accessible at 321 supermarkets and Express websites promoting Asda-branded fuel.

Chief buyer officer Rachel Eyre mentioned: “We’re making Asda Rewards even more rewarding. Asda is more than just a supermarket and we’re always looking for new ways to help families save on top of our low prices.

“Through our new Grocery and Fuel Bonus, customers can now unlock savings on fuel alongside their weekly shop, another step in our plans to keep growing Asda Rewards and give our customers even more value every time they shop with us.”

It comes as Asda continues efforts to rebuild gross sales momentum underneath its turnaround strategy.

The grocery store reported a 0.8% increase in like-for-like gross sales during its first quarter, reversing some of the decline seen within the earlier three-month period, when gross sales dropped by 4.2%, Retail Gazette stories.

This deal permits Asda to encourage buyer spending throughout its wider property.

Customers can redeem the offer till July 31 by scanning their Rewards barcode and fuel coupon on the pump or kiosk.
