“My dad had a lot of agency,” he later added. “If he didn’t like the way things were going, you jumped in to fix it and solve it. Don’t sit back and wait for the world to solve it for you, because it’s probably not. And, you know, I like to think that those two things are the biggest things I took from them throughout my career.”
Entering Sunday, Keselowski ranks ninth on the Cup Series Points leaderboard with three top-10 finishes below his belt. One week prior, he led 142 laps and received each early levels en path to securing a second-place end.
“Ultimately, to be judged as successful in this sport you have to win, and be a contender to win regularly,” he mentioned. “I’m hopeful we can push through with some kind of stellar performance early in the season and kind of serve ourselves in that way.
