A former feminine worker of gaming giant Activision Blizzard filed an explosive sexual harassment lawsuit accusing the California-based “Call of Duty” creator of a “frat boy” office the place male workers sexually harassed her, inappropriately touched her and watched pornography at work.

The unidentified former staffer, who labored within the company’s sound division for 14 years starting in 2009, alleged that one co-worker even tried to rape her after bringing her to his residence.

One co-worker, she claimed, introduced her to his residence the place he repeatedly touched her leg and “blocked her exit, threaten[ing] her with physical violence and attempted to rape her.” He demanded dates, unfold sexual rumors and known as her gender-specific slurs in entrance of different male co-workers, she stated.

She accused round 10 males on the company of subjecting her to sexual harassment, inappropriate touching, assault and different misconduct.

Another man “repeatedly sexually harassed” her, in response to the lawsuit, over 5 years. He allegedly advised her she would “be risking her career if she reported him.”

Blizzard’s audio director additionally “repeatedly touched” her leg “in a sexual manner without her permission” and allegedly “sabotaged” her work in retaliation when she rejected him, the allegations stated.

She complained that studies to higher-ups allegedly went nowhere and that no corrective motion was ever taken.

As a consequence of the alleged poisonous office tradition, the plaintiff stated she suffered from melancholy “and was required to seek ongoing psychiatric care” earlier than being discharged in April 2024.

An Activision Blizzard spokesperson advised the Los Angeles Times that the company took the allegations within the Los Angeles Superior Court significantly.

“We strive to maintain a respectful and inclusive workplace, and we do that through best-in-class policies and systems designed to prevent and address harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, and by holding employees accountable for their behavior,” the spokesperson stated.

The girl is searching for unspecified compensatory damages, together with misplaced wages, advantages and incomes capability.

This isn’t the primary time the gaming giant has come below fire over sexual harassment allegations.

In 2023, the company and the state Civil Rights Department reached a roughly $50 million settlement to resolve a sexual harassment and discrimination case.

The division had accused Activision Blizzard of paying ladies much less and denying them promotions, amongst different office discrimination claims. As half of the settlement, California withdrew its allegations of widespread sexual harassment, whereas Activision Blizzard denied wrongdoing.
