Columbia proves it was lying all along about – Latest News
Columbia University is lying big-time, and lying clumsily at that.
The faculty’s interim president, Katrina Armstrong, privately informed school that Columbia has not, the truth is, banned masks — even after it promised the White House (to stop more nixed federal funding past the get $400 million already stopped) that it would ban them.
Yet Armstrong rotated Tuesday to insist Columbia’s guarantees to ban masks and make different adjustments are “real.”
“Any suggestion that these measures are illusory,” she huffed, “is unequivocally false.”
Gee, they appear fairly “illusory” thus far: Dozens of masked protesters freely flooded the campus Monday; on Tuesday, college students wore keffiyehs and masks to class, thumbing their (covered-up) noses at efforts to struggle antisemitism.
(Yep: By carrying masks, they unmasked Armstrong’s lies.)

Armstrong’s attempting to have it each methods on a number of points: Talking to the college, she downplayed the college’s different guarantees to Team Trump.
Notably, Columbia informed the White House it will identify a senior vice provost to supervise its radical Middle East Studies division to “ensure the educational offerings are comprehensive and balanced.”
Yet she and her minions then reassured school the transfer gained’t impression how the division operates, The Wall Street Journal reported — which suggests it gained’t tackle MES’s notorious anti-Israel slant.
Do they assume it’s that simple to drag the wool over Team Trump’s eyes?
Columbia is clearly attempting to defraud the feds to keep the money flowing in.
Armstrong’s strategy: Deny the reality and rent a PR firm to confuse the problems.
At this level, the Trumpies will probably be absolutely of their rights to cut off all federal funds, in the event that they see match.
Washington didn’t stand for racism at faculties within the ’60s; it shouldn’t pay the tab for his or her antisemitism in the present day.
And don’t buy the BS about tutorial freedom and free speech.
Harassment, intimidation and violence towards Jews isn’t free speech. Nor is setting up a restricted, pro-terror, antisemitic encampment. Nor taking up a building, damaging property and struggling with staff.
As for the Middle East Studies division, authorities has no obligation to fund divisive, unfaithful smears about Israel, America, Jews, whites or the West.

The faculty is free to show that rubbish — on its own dime.
Look: Columbia would by no means tolerate mask-wearing Ku Klux Klan hooligans harassing blacks. Nor would it rent racists to show, say, African-American research courses.
It merely makes an exception when it involves Jew-haters.
More than a 12 months after Columbia grew to become the poster campus for antisemitism, it stays completely unreformed.
If it gained’t repair itself voluntarily, it has no proper to count on taxpayer {dollars}.
