How dedicated are elite universities to creating their campuses protected for Jew-hatred?

In the case of Cornell, so dedicated that even after the Trump administration froze $1 billion in funds for the varsity, it’s prepared to play host to a musical artist who’s basically referred to as for genocide in opposition to Jews.

And get a load of its excuse within the face of well-deserved: It didn’t notice Kehlani, a megapopular Gen Z R&B artist, was so antisemitic till it was too late to switch her.

Please. Her hateful barbs are everywhere in the web. Not figuring out of them sure looks like willful blindness.

How hateful is Kehlani? Well, she principally endorses the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people in a music video that begins by quoting “Long live the intifada” — i.e. the violent, terroristic effort to expel Jews from Israel with bombings, assassinations and (post-Oct. 7) mass rape, slaughter and kidnapping.

The singer, by co-signing on to the intifada, plainly helps all these issues — no matter how much she and her management might attempt to backtrack and deny it.

She’s additionally stated on social media, “Zionists are all evil,” the “scum of the earth” and will all “go to hell.”

By giving carte blanche to a pupil group to ask her to campus, Cornell is saying it’s tremendous with these vile positions.

And don’t buy that lame plea of ignorance about views — or that it’s too late to search out a substitute. (Or simply cancel the occasion.)

Would Cornell let youngsters invite a KKK-loving nation rock group to carry out on campus? Of course not.

It’s solely when the victims of the hatred are Jews (and white people, straight males and Asians) that immediately these colleges begin babbling about viewpoint neutrality.

This is unfortunately not stunning for Cornell, the varsity the place, mere days after Oct. 7, a historical past “professor,” Russell Rickford, described the monstrous butchery Hamas dedicated as “exhilarating.”

His punishment? A slap on the wrist; Rickford’s already back instructing

Cornell is aware of it screwed up; it’s already strolling back, equivocating and attempting to shift blame on to the student-run group that prolonged the invite.

But it’s clear the place its leaders’ sympathies lie. And it’s but more proof that the Ivies and lots of different elite colleges are utterly past salvation.
